  • About Me

After completing my first year studying Law at Northumbria University, I transferred onto the Solicitor Degree Apprenticeship and began my journey with Watson Woodhouse Solicitors. Over the course of my apprenticeship, I have had the benefit of working with some of our most experienced Solicitors across the firm.

My apprenticeship began in the housing department, where I worked with clients both locally and nationally through the Civil Legal Advice service. This role gave me the chance to develop my advocacy skills, including representing clients in court.

I later moved to our sister firm, Macks Solicitors, supporting clients with personal injury and medical negligence claims, including those affected by accidents at work.

Following my time at Macks Solicitors, I was giving the opportunity to work within our Crown Court department, where I was able to work on a variety of cases enhancing my understanding of criminal law and practice. This was followed by a placement in the prison law team, where I supported clients with parole hearings, adjudications, and re-categorisations—gaining even more exposure to the wider criminal justice system.

I am also an accredited police station representative, providing advice and assistance to individuals in custody who are due to be interviewed by police.

Most recently, I’ve joined the Civil Department, where I’m expanding my knowledge in areas such as civil actions against public authorities, human rights breaches, inquests, and CICA claims.

Throughout my apprenticeship, I’ve worked with clients facing a range of complex and often sensitive issues. I understand the importance of listening with empathy and ensuring clients receive the support and advice they need to achieve the best possible outcome.
