Dina Rahmatalla
I graduated from Durham University in 2024 with an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Law. Following this, I graduated with a Commendation in my Master of Laws in Legal Practice incorporating the Legal Practice Course (LLM LPC) at Northumbria University in September 2025.
While studying towards my LLM LPC, I worked as a Legal Administrator in the Dispute Resolution department for a firm based in Teesside. In this role, I supported fee earners on commercial and property disputes, as well as debt recovery, insolvency, contentious probate and TOLATA matters. I also worked as a Legal Secretary at an immigration specialist firm, assisting with private immigration matters.
Throughout my academic journey, I gained valuable experience through various legal internships. Namely in the summer of 2023, I completed an internship with HMCTS where I worked as a Court Clerk and Usher in the Family and Civil Courts. I also completed an internship with an international family law firm, supporting cases involving international expat clients in England and Wales, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia in respect to cross-border private family matters.
Since commencing my Training Contract, I have completed a seat in the Private Family Department at our sister firm where I assisted on matters regarding divorce and separation, financial remedies, child arrangements and pre and post-nuptial agreements.
I have now joined the Crown Court Department at Watson Woodhouse Solicitors, where I will be assisting in criminal defence matters and I am working towards obtaining my Police Station Accreditation.
