Ambulance worker wins £140,000 in back injury compensation claim
01Jul
An ambulance worker was injured whilst moving a patient. Two wheels came off the patient’s stretcher meaning that the worker was bearing the full weight of both the patient and the heavy stretcher. Bearing this weight caused an injury to his lower back and right leg. The injury was so severe that he is no longer able to work. This worker is just one of many throughout the country who was able to submit a back injury compensation claim which resulted in a compensation payment. Back injuries are a risk across many occupations but particularly those which involve manual handling.
