  • About Me

I am a Senior Solicitor working within the Private Prosecution team.

I qualified in 2007 and joined Watson Woodhouse’s sister firm, Macks Solicitors, in 2010, before transitioning to Watson Woodhouse in 2023.

The earlier stages of my career focused on general civil litigation, before moving on to practice personal injury and clinical negligence work. As a cyclist, I took a keen interest in helping the victims of cycling accidents and I was able to build a specialist cycling accident department at Macks Solicitors assisting them to become national specialists in that field.

In 2023, I was invited to join Watson Woodhouse’s expanding Private Prosecution team. Many of the skills developed over my years of civil practice transferred perfectly into the field of prosecution.

Now working exclusively within the growing Private Prosecution team, working alongside several other lawyers, including James Watson. As a team, we can collectively draw on extensive experience in both criminal and civil practice to best assist and advise in this niche area. I represent clients nationally, and specialise in privately prosecuting offences of dishonesty, typically fraud or theft, in situations where the police might be unwilling or unable to assist. I find this an extremely rewarding area of work.

I always endeavour to take the time to listen to my clients, fully assess their evidence, and provide careful and reasoned advice. I am conscious that many of my clients have little knowledge of the justice system and may already have been let down by the public prosecuting authorities.
