Role: Civil/Personal Injury Secretary

As a leading North-East law firm we are recruiting a Legal Secretary in our Civil/Personal Injury Law Department for our busy Middlesbrough office.

The role:

The successful candidate will support fee earners in the administration of their case load, assisting with drafting legal documents and collating Court bundles whilst maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Additional to providing regular reception cover as and when required.

Requirements:

  • Previous Civil/PI Secretarial experience would be advantageous  
  • Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
  • Fast, accurate typing ability using digital audio systems
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience of case management systems (preferred)
  • IT literate
  • Diary management
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A high level of attention to detail

As a leading North East provider of Residential Conveyancing, Watson Woodhouse Group are seeking a Legal Secretary in our Conveyancing Department for our busy Harrogate office.

The role:

The successful candidate will support fee earners by taking initial instructions, and providing quotes to clients. Duties include opening and closing files, carrying out digital dictations, scanning post onto the case management system, updating clients on progress of sale, purchase and other enquiries. Additional to this providing reception cover as and when required.

Requirements:

• Previous Conveyancing Secretarial experience would be advantageous
• Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
• Fast, accurate typing ability using digital audio systems is essential
• Experience of case management systems (preferred)
• IT literate
• Diary management
• Strong organisational skills

The role:
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team and be able to manage a caseload of residential property files to include; sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties; as well as new build transactions, re-mortgages, right to buy and help to buy schemes, and play an active part in the promotion of the firm’s services.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years PQE within Residential Conveyancing is essential

The role:

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and be able to deal with all aspects of family law with particular focus on divorce, finance, children and public law. The role will involve managing of a client caseload and ensuing high standards of client care and development of good working relationships with external institutions and organisations. To support and develop any immediate support and fee earning staff as agreed with the Head of Department and play an active part in the promotion of the firm’s services.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years Post Qualification Experience within Family Law is essential.
