As a leading North-East law firm we are continuing to strengthen our Business Management Team. A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join us as the Group HR Manager reporting directly into the CEO.

The role:

The successful candidate will be personable, professional and flexible in their approach to lead, shape and develop the delivery of a proactive and effective HR service.

Requirements:

• CIPD Level 7 Qualification or equivalent
• Experience as a HR Generalist including recruitment and selection
• Experience of designing and delivering coaching/mentoring, learning & development and talent management programs
• Demonstrable knowledge of employment law
• Experience of developing, creating and implementing continuous improvement programs
• Demonstrable experience of designing and writing HR policies, procedures, offers and contracts of employment
• Excellent communication, presentation and conflict resolution skills at all organisational levels
• Ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
• Meticulous attention to detail
• High Standard of IT literacy including accounting software, MS office and advanced excel skills

Receptionist

Role: Receptionist  

Location: Middlesbrough

Hours: Full-Time

As a leading North-East law firm we are recruiting for an additional Receptionist at our Middlesbrough head office.

The role:

As the first point of contact for both existing and new clients, the successful candidate will support fee earners by assisting with the day to day reception duties. Duties include dealing with calls in a professional friendly manner, taking accurate and detailed messages, and attending to clients in the office whilst maintaining confidentiality. As well as handling post and scanning onto client files.

Requirements:

  • Previous receptionist experience essential
  • Excellent client service skills required
  • Confidence dealing with clients and the general public face to face
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience using Microsoft and Outlook
  • Previous case management system experience would be advantageous
  • Access to own transport to be able to travel between offices on a weekly basis to deliver post is essential

The role:

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team and be able to manage a caseload of residential property files to include; sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties; as well as new build transactions, re-mortgages, right to buy and help to buy schemes, and play an active part in the promotion of the firm’s services.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years PQE within Residential Conveyancing is essential
  • The ability to deliver Excellent Client Care
  • Enthusiasm for the industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and as an individual on their own initiative
  • High levels of attention to detail

Police Station Representative

Role: Police Station Representative

Tenure: Fixed Term Contract

Hours: Shift rota – 3 on / 3 off over a 6 week rota

7.5 hours per shift with a 30min unpaid break and two 15min paid breaks

The role:

The successful candidate working in a call centre environment will be required to take initial instructions over the telephone from clients detained in police custody, ensuring their legal rights are adhered to and be ready to make any relevant presentations where required.
